We believe that the health and wellbeing of our community, including patients and staff, must take precedence at times like these and we must do our part to reduce the risk of community transmission however we can. We are therefore following the above directive and limiting our practice services to provide treatment only for dental emergencies.
For you, this means any upcoming appointments with us are postponed until further notice. At this stage there is no definitive date that we can resume practicing so we will be in contact with a rescheduled appointment when it is safe to do so.
Although a delay in treatment can be frustrating, this is an unforeseen development and we deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause. We will continue to update you as new developments regarding your treatment arise and endeavour to continue your treatment as soon as we can, but strongly believe that we must delay in the interests of the health and safety of our comminity.
Thank you for your understanding at this time. Again, we offer you our deepest apologies for this inconvenience and will be in touch with you as required.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or feel that you are experiencing a dental/orthodontic emergency.
Stay safe and we will get through this together.
Does Susan need to monitor your teeth?
In the upcoming weeks Susan may need to monitor how your teeth are looking. If this is the case please take photos as shown in this video and send them to Susan.
Hibiscus Coast Registered Specialist Orthodontist
Welcome to Susan Carpenter’s orthodontic practice. Our practice is committed to providing excellence in orthodontic treatment and service in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our move, in March 2013, to modern purpose-built premises, with full digital technology and the latest dental management software, facilitates optimal patient comfort and confidence in a professional caring environment.
The benefits of a beautiful smile cannot be overstated. Cosmetically, a beautiful smile will boost self-esteem and can significantly enhance a person’s emotional well-being and confidence. Functionally, orthodontic treatment can reduce the risk of gum disease, speech problems and the incidence of decay caused by crowded or mal-aligned teeth.
As the only Specialist Orthodontist practicing on the Hibiscus Coast, Susan has been working in Orewa since 2004. She qualified as a dentist at Otago University in 1991 and then became a specialist orthodontist in 2001 following her three years of training at Guys Hospital, London. Susan will listen carefully to your concerns and expectations and will discuss all possible treatment options so you can choose the treatment that is most suitable for you.
