Now we are at COVID-19 Alert Level 1 we are delighted to be able to book appointments as normal.
We have rescheduled all appointments that were missed during the lockdown period and would like to thank everyone for their patience while we did this. If you feel your appointment has been missed or you have any queries regarding your appointments or treatment delays please give us a call.
The Ministry of Health still requires us to ask all visitors to the practice to use hand sanitiser or wash their hands on arrival and again when leaving the practice. In addition, we also need to ask all patients and caregivers about any cough and cold symptoms, overseas travel and contact with any COVID-19 patients when booking appointments and when arriving at the practice. Finally, we are sorry but we are still unable to provide magazines and toys for your entertainment, in our waiting room.
It is recommended that we manage patients to limit their contact with others. We would therefore ask parents and siblings to avoid waiting in the waiting room however if you have any queries or concerns regarding any aspect of patient care please accompany your child to the appointment.
Thank you for your understanding during this time.
Hibiscus Coast Registered Specialist Orthodontist
Welcome to Susan Carpenter’s orthodontic practice. Our practice is committed to providing excellence in orthodontic treatment and service in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our move, in March 2013, to modern purpose-built premises, with full digital technology and the latest dental management software, facilitates optimal patient comfort and confidence in a professional caring environment.
The benefits of a beautiful smile cannot be overstated. Cosmetically, a beautiful smile will boost self-esteem and can significantly enhance a person’s emotional well-being and confidence. Functionally, orthodontic treatment can reduce the risk of gum disease, speech problems and the incidence of decay caused by crowded or mal-aligned teeth.
As the only Specialist Orthodontist practicing on the Hibiscus Coast, Susan has been working in Orewa since 2004. She qualified as a dentist at Otago University in 1991 and then became a specialist orthodontist in 2001 following her three years of training at Guys Hospital, London. Susan will listen carefully to your concerns and expectations and will discuss all possible treatment options so you can choose the treatment that is most suitable for you.
